I am not having any luck programminmg these two chips with the enhanced willem programmer. Shows all 00000's and says the chip is not empty. Will not do anything else. They ARE empty. Removed the safety jumper and selected correct 2716 or 2732 with both 21v and 25v still nothing. Has anyone been successful with these two chips? Any ideas?

The Enhanced Willem does not support 2716 and 2732. This is due to the Enhanced Willem's design is focused on the CMOS flash chips.

For the Dual Powred Willem will do the job without adaptor. Just setting the jumpers on the board.

For the 3.0 Willem Programmer I know the 2716/32 need a 24DIP adaptor.

The adaptor can be found from: http://www.willem.org/ZIP/2716addon.zip

There are two pins need reconnect to the chip.

Hmmm, thought that I could just insert the chip and use. The chip is listed in the list of compatible devices. Is the adapter available for sale anywhere? I would like to purchase one but it seems you must build the one listed....
Thank you..

This adaptor is very simple. Not much profit can make. So, no one interested to make this one for sale. The Willem programmer 3.0 version already obsolete anyway.

When a chip is blank, it should have all F's, it is technically only possible to write 0 to a chip.
