Hi,

Got a problem with my programmer.
I think that the installation is ok, but with MPLAB 8.4, when I connect the programmer to the PC, I got this message :

Connecting to MPLAB ICD 2
...Connected
Setting Vdd source to MPLAB ICD 2
ICDWarn0020: Invalid target device id (expected=0x44, read=0x0)
...Reading ICD Product ID
Running ICD Self Test
... Failed Self Test. See ICD2 Settings (Programmer->Settings) (status tab) for details.
MPLAB ICD 2 ready for next operation

In the setting table :

Target VDD : 0
Target VPP : 11.10
MPLAB ICD2 VPP : 11.26

I refresh and I have always 0V VDD... and Yes I check Power target circuit from MPlab....

Can you help me??

If you already did "check Power target circuit from MPlab", then you maybe burned out the VDD control transistor V512.

This may happen if you have shorted the VDD line to ground accidentally or placed a PIC chip(reversed).

In that case you need to repair the unit. Replacing the V512 transistor.
