Just got the GQ-4X programmer. I can't get the application to run at all.

I installed the latest driver .exe from this site (released feb 2014) and it placed an icon on my desktop. I also unlocked the installer as shown in the video on Youtube.

I then plugged in the programmer and it loaded some drivers... they appear to be called 'Pasco Xplorer Bootloader'. Green LED illuminates on the programmer.

But when I double click the USBPrg icon on the desktop the cursor 'thinks' for about a half a second and then nothing happens.

I can't get the application to start at all.

I need help with this, please! :)

Running on Windows Vista 64-bit.

The Pasco Xplorer Bootloader is not a correct driver. It seems it conflicts with GQ USN driver.

You need to remove the Pasco Xplorer Bootloader usb driver from your Windows and install GQ USB driver 2.01.
