I added a lot of MCUs to this file, but after update the last software, I lost everything I have added or changed.
The installer just cverwrites the old file.
It would be nice, if the installer first renamed devices.txt to devices.old.
Is there a easy way to save and or merge the old data into the new data?

If you have added new devices, then the best is to send a update to support@mcumall.com for adding those into next installation package. So that you do not worry about the overwrite.

If your changes only for yourself, then you can add those devices into customdevices.txt file. This file is not part of the installation package, then it never gets to be overwritten.
