hi, i want a buy a new willem pcb programmer to write succesfully 27C322 27C160 27C400 27C800 eproms for my megadrive games, i still have an old win98 computer with lpt port,db25 printer cables, external 15v 4A power supply,16 bit 42pin adapter ive got software 098 097ja ..
the problem is i dont know what willem hardware pcb which will works well with my project.i use to have a willem pcb 5.0E but i ve never was able to write anything with it it gave me buffer underun each time i want to write a rom on the eprom. so may be changing a version hardware pcb T or C will would be a solution i need your opinions thanks. |

hello again i need your expert advices please.
i m about to order the gq-4x+adp054 from datahardware ebay.co.Uk
i made a lot of searches and i found that datahrdware is the official supplier distributor of mcumall products in uk,so all their products are genuine.
the problem is a lot of people have troubles with programming the 27C322/27C160/27C400/27C800 it seems that the programmer was nt reliable what do you think thanks.

I think you have no other choices than Chinese junk or look for an used programmer of good quality. You can maybe repair the defective one you already have. |

my budget is 30 euro i know it s very low for a good programmer that s why i went with willems burner,sorry i need also to burn old eproms that requires 21v vpp from time to time,i did nt mention that in my previous message sorry. |

Are you talking about the programmer or the chip that comes from eBay?
If you want improvement go with a modern programmer.
Simplest is to install the software and check it out. |

i think the chinese device is faulty i got it from ebay .thats why i want get another pcb version much improved.
the willem software version 0.97e has support for 27C322 27C160 eproms can anybody confirm that? |

If voltages are good at all times, I can't see why you get that error. |

i ve tried 3 IEEE cables the thciker,the ones we use for old printers, yes lpt is working properly, i have hardware present when i plug a 12V 3A dc psu i can read a chip verify it but no writing at all, when i keep jumper8 on 5.7v position to start programming the process goes the end but in order to have the green bar i get the error.
when i remove the jumper8 to allow 6.2v since the 27C322 need 6.2v, i get hardware not present as soon as i click on program icon very strange. |

For the differences between each versions ask the seller. Also ask for a supported devices list. |

A buffer underrun indicates your setup didn't push data fast enough to the programmer. |
